Coursework On Skill Development

Overview

According to a report published by National Sample Survey organization (NSSO), only 10% of BSc graduates and 25% of MSc graduates are employable. This means that a majority of the students who pass out of these courses are not equipped with the necessary skills to get a job in their field of study. Another contributing factor is the lack of skilled teachers and mentors. Many institutions lack qualified teachers who can provide studnets with the necessary guidance and support to succeed in their courses. Finally yhere is a mismatch between the skills of students and the requirements of the job market. While the job market demands a certain set of skills, many BSc & MSc students are not equipped with these skills, leading to unemployment or underemployment. We at NFB focus on the key skill development areas that caters to industry norms.

Techniques in Mammalian cell culture

Cell culture technology is now an essential component of molecular biology and biomedical research. Cancer research, toxicology, drug discovery and screening, virology, and genetic engineering are just a few of its applications. Cell culture is a collection of biological techniques for growing cells outside of the organism (ex vivo) or in their natural environment. This tool is becoming increasingly important for validating protocols prior to conducting animal experiments. With the expansion of career opportunities in the biomedical and pharmaceutical sectors in collaboration with academia, formal training in this area is required. NFB provides summer and winter training programmes in Mammalian cell culture to life science students, scholars, and educators. The entire programme is managed by highly qualified professionals with experience in animal cell culture research, teaching, and industry.
