Academia Overview
Nfb provides a vibrant academic community where students, researchers, and faculty members work together to advance scientific research and develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. Our academic programs cover a range of topics, from experimental and applied microbiology to downstream processing and protein purification. Experimental and Applied Microbiology: In this course, students will learn about the diversity of microorganisms and their role in biotechnology and medicine. Students will learn about chromatography, ultrafiltration, and other techniques used in downstream processing.

NFB has the expertise to provide services predominantly in the areas of Protein Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Tissue culture and Microbiology.
Microbiology
Several Analyses include the Determining the Antimicrobial Activity, Minimum Inhibitory concentration (MIC), Biochemical testing, Identification of pathogenic bacteria, Growth Kinetics of isolated bacteria at different parameters, Viability count, Antibiotic Susceptibility test, Antibiotic potency testing, Shake flask studies, Calculating the cfu/ml of given samples.
Molecular Biology
Molecular biology encompasses a wide range of services and techniques that enable students and researchers to investigate and manipulate the molecular components of living organisms. At NFB, we offer services and techniques such as Genomic DNA extraction and purification, DNA quantification, AGE, PCR, DNA sequencing, Recombinant DNA technology. These are just a few examples of the many services and techniques offered in molecular biology.
Protein Purification and Analytical Services
NFB is dedicated to developing and optimizing novel protein purification strategies that enable us to produce high-quality proteins for a variety of research and industrial applications. We utilize cutting-edge techniques and equipment, including chromatography, centrifugation, ultrafiltration, and various forms of electrophoresis, to isolate and purify proteins. We are committed to advancing protein science and providing high-quality services to our clients and collaborators.
Bioanalytical Techniques
Analytical assessment of samples whether of biological origin or phytochemical origin forms the crux of research in academia and industry alike. NFB proffers a platform for research and validation across a vast spectrum of samples ranging from simple U.V-Vis. Spectroscopy to LC-MS, encompassing everything in between. Analyses include the qualitative and quantitative estimation of proteins, antigens, and antibodies using ELISA techniques; the extraction, purification, and quantification of DNA and RNA through qPCR, and the synthesis of cDNA libraries. The qualitative and quantitative assessment of Phytochemical extracts is also carried out NFB by TLC, HPLC, and LC-MS methods. We offer method development and method validation support.
Mammalian Cell Culture Analysis
The services offered in a cell culture lab are aimed at characterizing and understanding cellular processes and responses to external stimuli, as well as identifying and developing potential therapeutic targets and drug candidates. We provide a range of services related to cell culture, including cell line maintenance, Cell viability and proliferation assays, and cell cytotoxicity assays. This helps identify potential drug candidates for anticancer applications. The lab also offers training and consultation services to researchers and biotech companies interested in using cell culture techniques for their research or product development.
SHORT TERM PROJECTS
At NFB provides tailored pre-Ph.D. training programs that prepare students for success in their Ph.D. programs. Our training, which is led by knowledgeable experts, covers a variety of subjects, such as research design, data analysis, and scientific communication. To ensure that each student has the abilities and information required to flourish in their research, we work together with them to create a personalized training plan that addresses their specific needs. PhD in Applied Biology
